Prerequisites

Edit or Delete an SMS Template

Edits apply everywhere at once, and deletion cannot be undone.

Brands > Brand Assets > SMS Templates lists every template for the current brand, with its name, creation date and the beginning of its message.

Both actions here have consequences beyond this screen, because a template is referenced by everything that uses it rather than copied into it. An edit changes what those things send from that moment on. A deletion removes the template they were pointing at.

Steps

Find the template

The list shows all templates for the current brand, ordered by name. The Content column is truncated, so use Edit to read a message in full.

Edit it

Select Edit to open the same three-column editor used for creation, with the name and message filled in. Change what you need and select Save Template.

The change takes effect immediately for everything that uses this template. There is no version history and no way back to the previous wording, so if you are making a substantial change to a template that is in active use, copy the old message somewhere first.

An edit applies to every future send from every sequence, broadcast, workflow and form action that references this template.

Check what uses it before deleting

There is no usage list on this screen, so this is a manual check. A template may be referenced by SMS broadcasts, FLOW actions, form actions, pipeline board settings and webinar registration settings.

Anything still pointing at a deleted template will not find it, and that step will stop working rather than sending something else.

Delete it

Select Delete. Zyntro asks you to confirm, naming the template and warning that the deletion is permanent.

Confirm and the template is removed from the database outright. There is no archive and no restore. A message confirms the deletion.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no archived state to recover from.

Result

An edited template is live everywhere immediately. A deleted one is gone, and the list shows a confirmation — or the empty state, if it was your last template.

After deleting, open anything you believed was using it and point it at a different template.

Troubleshooting

The template you tried to open or delete is not an SMS template belonging to the brand you are working in. This usually means a stale link, a bookmark from another brand, or a template that has already been deleted.

Return to SMS Templates and work from the list, which only ever shows what this brand actually owns.

It cannot be recovered — the row is removed, not archived. Recreate it from the wording in a recently delivered message if you have one, then repoint whatever was using it.

This is why the confirmation exists; it is the only safeguard.

That step was referencing the template you removed. Open the FLOW action, form action or board setting and select a template that exists. Nothing substitutes a replacement automatically.

Expected. Messages already queued or delivered carry the wording from when they were built. Edits apply to future sends only.
