What It Is
The SI Handoff Card is a prominent alert that appears on the contact’s right sidebar when SI’s engagement scoring engine recommends human intervention. It contains an AI-written context summary and two action buttons.
The card appears in a highlighted section between the ownership info and the Auto-Engage toggle — impossible to miss when you open the contact.
Why It Matters
The Handoff Card is the bridge between autonomous AI engagement and personal human attention. When SI determines that a contact has reached a point where automation should stop and a human should take over — buying signals, complex needs, or exhausted automated approaches — it creates this card.
The card is not just an alert. It is a brief. The AI summary tells you *why* the handoff was triggered, *what the contact has been doing*, and *what their current state is*. You can make a personal call or send a message with full context — without reviewing weeks of communication history.
How It Works
What the Card Shows
The Handoff Card contains:
- A label: SI Human Handoff
- An AI-written summary: 2-4 sentences describing the contact’s engagement state, recent behavior, pipeline position, and why human intervention is recommended. Example: "Brandon is a highly engaged SQL in the WIN pipeline phase. He exhibits clear, high-intent behavior including multiple successful appointment bookings, active exploration of product features (Phona/Webinars), and proactive communication via SMS. He is currently evaluating a proposal and expects a meeting shortly. Sentiment is consistently positive despite travel delays."
Action Buttons
- Resume SI Automation — Clears the human handoff recommendation and allows SI to resume autonomous engagement. Use this after you have taken the recommended action (made the call, sent the proposal, had the meeting).
- Pause All Outreach — Stops all outbound communication to this contact — both SI and manual queued messages. Use this when you need complete silence while you handle the situation personally.
When the Card Appears
The card appears when the engagement scoring engine produces a `human_handoff` recommendation. This typically happens when:
- The contact shows strong buying signals (high score + rising trend + WIN phase)
- All automated approaches have been exhausted without response
- The contact’s situation requires nuanced human judgment
- The engagement pattern suggests the moment is critical for conversion
The card also appears as a HIGH PRIORITY notification in your notification inbox, ensuring you do not miss it even if you are not actively viewing the contact.
