The Queued Assets Screen Explained

What appears in the queue, what each state and column means, and exactly what each of the three actions changes.

Queued Assets lives at Marketing → Content → Queued Assets and shows the production queue for the brand you are working in.

An asset appears here when two things are true: it carries a production date, and it has not been produced or rejected. Everything else is excluded — a topic with no date is still a proposal on its plan screen, and a produced asset has moved on to Produced Content.

The list is ordered by date, soonest first, and spans every content plan for the brand rather than one plan at a time.

The four states

Upcoming — Dated for a future day and waiting. No action needed. Produced on or after its date.
Due today — Dated for today. A date is a "not before" rather than an appointment, so the asset is produced by one of the day's production runs rather than at a particular moment.
Overdue — The date has passed and the asset has not been produced. Normal in a queue deeper than the number of production runs since that date — a run takes one asset at a time. It means waiting, not failed.
Not queued — The asset has a date but will be skipped by the production run, because it sits at Approved rather than Scheduled. Caused by approving a topic after it was already scheduled, which replaces the scheduled state. Rescheduling it from this screen puts it back in the queue.

Important: Not queued is the only state that needs you. It is counted separately, and a warning appears above the list whenever any asset is in it, because the asset keeps its date and looks scheduled on every other screen. Nothing else in the queue requires action.

The heading line

Element What it shows
If all N are produced The number of assets currently in the queue, in all four states.
Total figure The queue size multiplied by the price per asset. A projection of spend still to come across the whole queue, not a charge and not a commitment — rejecting an asset removes its share.
Per asset What one produced asset costs. The same figure the scheduler quotes and the same figure charged on completion.
Content Plans Back to the list of plans, where topics are reviewed, approved and scheduled.
Produced Content Where an asset goes once it has been produced. Assets leave this queue at that point.

Columns

Column Contents
Due The production date, with the state shown beneath it as a label.
Asset The topic title, then its content type, target keyword and a link to the plan it came from. On narrower screens the offering and audience fold into this line so neither value is lost.
Offering The offering this topic was researched from. Reads Offering no longer available if that offering has since been removed — the asset is still producible, because its brief was captured when the plan was built.
Audience The audience segment the topic speaks to, using the segment's current name rather than the name it had when the plan was built. Reads No audience segment if the topic was not attributed to one.
Funnel Top, Middle or Bottom — where the piece is aimed in the buying journey.
Actions Reschedule, reject and produce now, as three icon buttons. Hover any of them for its label.

Filters

Filter What it matches
State counts Click a count to show only that state; click it again to clear. Only one state at a time.
Search box Topic title, content type, target keyword, audience segment, offering and content angle. The angle is searchable even though it is not shown as a column.
All funnel stages One funnel stage, with the number of queued assets in each shown in the list.
All offerings One offering. Only offerings actually present in the queue are listed.
All audiences One audience segment. Only segments actually present in the queue are listed.
Clear filters Resets the search box, all three dropdowns and the state card. Appears only while something is filtered.

What each action changes

Action Effect Cost
Reschedule Writes the new date and returns the asset to the queue, which is also what repairs a Not queued asset. Marks the plan Running. Accepts today or any later day, not a past date. The list reloads. None
Reject Removes the date and takes the asset out of the queue immediately. The plan's committed item count drops. The topic itself stays in its plan and can be approved and scheduled again later. None
Produce now Writes the asset from its brief, generates a cover image, runs quality control and saves a draft. Takes a few minutes. You are taken to the finished draft if you stay on the page. The per-asset price, charged when the asset completes

Info: Produce now cannot double-charge you. An asset that has already been produced is refused, a second click while a build is running is refused, and a manual request that would collide with a scheduled production run already building that asset is refused with a message asking you to try again shortly. In each case nothing is charged.

Info: Where a produced asset goes. It is saved as a draft and quality control then moves it to Awaiting Approval, which is the status to look for under Produced Content. Assets produced under a plan always pass through quality control; it cannot be switched off.
