Redemption methods and rules

What these settings change, and what they leave to your own systems.

Two settings describe how a customer claims the deal and how often they may. Both are recorded with the offer and both end up in the generated copy, so the terms a contact is told match what you intended.

Read the warning below before you rely on either for control rather than communication.

Important: These settings describe the offer. Zyntro does not enforce them. Nothing counts how many people have claimed a deal, cuts it off after the first N, or stops the same contact claiming twice in a month. Whatever actually honours the offer — your signup flow, your till, your booking system — is where the limit has to live. What these settings buy you is accurate wording and a written record of what was promised.

Redemption Method

Offer is redeemed on a website — Asks for a Redemption URL. The generated instructions point the customer at that address. Reach for this when there is a page where the deal is applied.
Redemptions are handled by a third-party — The deal is honoured somewhere outside your own systems — a marketplace, a reseller, a partner. No URL is asked for.
Offers are redeemed in-store — The customer claims it in person. The generated instructions are written for someone walking in rather than clicking.

Redemption Rules

One per contact — Each customer may claim it once, ever. The default, and the right answer for most offers.
First N Customers — Asks you to define N. The copy is written with that scarcity in it, which is the point of choosing it.
One per contact per month — A recurring entitlement rather than a one-off. Reach for this for something like a monthly discount on a repeat service.

Fields these settings add

Redemption URL url required

Shown when the method is a website. Where the customer goes to claim the deal. This address appears in the generated instructions, so use the page that actually applies the offer rather than your homepage.

Define the value of N number required

Shown for First N Customers. The number the copy will quote. Choose a figure you are willing to see in writing.

Tip: If you pick First N Customers, make sure someone is actually watching the count on your side. The generated copy will state the number, and an offer that keeps being honoured well past it is a harder conversation than one that never named a figure.
