Offer types and expiry
Fixed date, rolling window, while stock lasts, or never.
Offer Type decides how the deal ends. Your choice changes which extra field the form shows, and it is stated in the generated copy so a customer knows how long they have.
The four offer types
Expires on a set date
— Asks for a calendar date. Every contact sees the same deadline no matter when they hear about it. Best for a seasonal promotion tied to a real event.
Expires X days after offer sent
— Asks for a number of days. The window is counted from when the contact receives the offer, so each contact gets the same amount of time. Best for a standing offer you want to stay urgent.
Till Stocks Last
— Asks for a URL that reports your stock level. The offer is framed as limited by availability rather than by time.
Evergreen, never expires
— No extra field. An ongoing offer with no deadline. Best for a standard new-customer deal.
Important: An offer type describes the deal. It does not switch the offer off. When a fixed date passes, the offer stays Done and remains available to Segmentation Intelligence and to any template that references it. Retiring an expired offer is yours to do — delete it, or edit its text. The same is true of the stock-check URL: it is recorded with the offer, and Zyntro does not poll it.
What each type asks for, and what it affects
| Type | Extra field | Deadline is the same for everyone? | Reach for it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expires on a set date | Offer Expiry Date | Yes | The deal is tied to a real date, like a season or a launch |
| Expires X days after sent | Offer Expiry Days | No — each contact gets the same window | You want a standing offer that still feels urgent |
| Till Stocks Last | Stock Check URL | No deadline | Availability, not time, is the real constraint |
| Evergreen | None | No deadline | A standard deal you expect to run indefinitely |
The extra fields
Offer Expiry Date
date
required
Shown for a fixed expiry. The single date the offer runs to.
Offer Expiry Days
number
required
Shown for a rolling expiry. The number of days a contact has from receiving the offer.
Stock Check URL
url
optional
Shown for Till Stocks Last. The form asks for an address that returns a stock figure. It is stored with the offer for your own reference.
Tip: A rolling window is usually the better default for an offer you want Segmentation Intelligence to use. SI brings an offer up whenever the conversation fits, which could be months from now — and a fixed date that has already passed makes for an awkward message.
