Cloning a Webinar

Everything but the video and the date.

The copy icon on My Webinars duplicates a webinar. It is the quickest way to run the same session again, or to build a variant without starting over.

Steps

Press the copy icon and confirm

The copy is created immediately, in Draft, with (Copy) added to the title.

You are taken straight to what is missing

A pre-recorded copy opens on the Video tab; a live copy opens on the meeting setup. That is deliberate — those are the two things a clone never carries over.

Supply the missing piece

Upload the video again, or press Go Live to arrange a new meeting. A live copy also needs a new date.

Rename it

(Copy) is a placeholder, and it will appear on the registration page if you leave it.

Result

What comes with the copy: the headline and brief, the type, the duration and timezone, every attached poll, offer and handout with their timings, the chat settings, the Just-in-Time pattern, the registration styling, the follow-up and the redirections.

What does not: the video, the meeting link, the date, the registration form, the registrants, the attendance and any recording. A clone starts with no audience and no history, which is what you want.

Info: Because the whole asset set carries over, cloning is the right way to run a monthly session. Build it once properly, then clone and re-date it each time rather than editing the original and losing last month's attendance.

Troubleshooting

Expected. The video is the one thing you always re-supply. The polls, offers and handouts are already attached and timed as they were.

Dates are not copied, because a copy is almost always for a different day. Set it on the Schedule tab, then press Go Live.
