Finalising Attendance

The step that makes your figures worth reading.

While a live session runs, the console knows who is present. Finalize Attendance replaces that rough picture with precise watch durations taken from the meeting itself once it is over.

Steps

Wait until the conference has actually ended

The durations come from the completed meeting, so finalising while people are still in the room gives you a partial answer.

Match any stragglers first

An unmatched participant has no contact to attribute a duration to, so their watch time goes nowhere.

Press Finalize Attendance

Or do nothing — it runs on its own when the conference ends. The button is for when you want to be certain, or when you have just matched someone by hand.

Check the registrant list

Statuses should have settled into attended, partial and no-show, with a watch progress figure against each person who turned up.

Result

Each attendee has a real duration rather than a tick. That is what makes the difference between attended and partial meaningful, and partial attendees are usually the most useful group a webinar produces.

It also feeds what Zyntro knows about each contact's engagement, so an accurate finalise improves the follow-up for everyone who was there.

Troubleshooting

Attendance has not been finalised. Until it is, you have presence rather than watch time.

Finalise again after matching. The durations attach to whoever the participants were mapped to at the time it ran.

They were never matched to a contact. If they did not register, there may be nobody to match them to — their time in the room cannot be credited to anyone.
