Analytics and the Cookie Banner
Visitor tracking, and the cookie banner that has to be in place first.
The Analytics Pixel tab does two related things: it enables visitor tracking for the site, and it configures the cookie banner that has to accompany it.
The tracking is the reason the website lives inside Zyntro rather than beside it. What a visitor reads, returns to and ignores becomes part of what the platform knows about them — so a prospect's behaviour on your site informs how they are engaged everywhere else.
Steps
Write the cookie banner first
This is the required order, not a suggestion. The pixel cannot be enabled until your cookie banner statement is written — try it and the save is refused with an explanation.
The statement is the text visitors read. Say plainly that the site uses cookies and what for. You also set the accept and decline button labels, and a link to your privacy policy.
Style the banner to match the site
Background, text colour, button background and button text are all settable, along with the banner's position and layout.
A banner that matches the site reads as part of it. A default-looking one reads as something bolted on, and gets dismissed without being read — which rather defeats the point of it.
Enable the pixel
With the banner written, turn the pixel on and save.
There is also a snippet shown on the tab for reference, which you can copy if you need the same tracking somewhere outside this site.
Turn it on before launch, not after
Tracking only records what happens after it is enabled. Switching it on a week after launch means the first week is simply missing, and the visitors who read three pages and left are unrecoverable.
If you intend to use analytics at all, it belongs in your pre-launch checklist.
Check the banner on the live site
Open the published site in a private window so you get the first-visit experience. Confirm the banner appears, that both buttons work, and that the privacy link goes somewhere real.
A private window matters here — once you have accepted, you will not see it again in that browser.
Important: Whether you need a cookie banner, and what it must say, depends on where your visitors are rather than where you are. If you have visitors in regions with consent requirements, this is a legal matter and worth checking rather than guessing.
Result
Visitor tracking running, with a styled banner and a working privacy link. Detailed reporting on what it collects lives under Analytics & Tracking.
