Tag Files So Agents Can Use Them
The difference between a file that is stored and a file that can be used.
When Zyntro writes an email, builds a page or decides what to send someone, it can draw on your files — but only the ones it can identify. A file called IMG_4471.jpg with no tags tells it nothing, so that image is effectively not there.
That is what the banner across the top of Files & Folders is counting. It names how many images and PDFs are untagged and offers Fix This, which opens the File Tagger.
Before You Begin
- Images or PDFs in your library. Tagging applies to those two types; other files are not counted in the banner.
- Enough balance in your account wallet if you want to tag images automatically — the bulk run is charged per image and checks your balance first.
Steps
Open the File Tagger
Press Fix This on the banner, or go to the tagger directly. It opens on its own screen with a count of untagged Images and PDFs, and Back to Drive to return.
The two types are separated because they are tagged differently: an image can be described automatically from what it shows, a PDF generally needs you.
Tag one file by hand
Select a file to open its details and describe it as you would to a colleague who cannot see it: what it is, what it shows, what it would be used for. Product screenshot, pricing page, dark theme is worth more than screenshot.
Specific tags are what let the right file be chosen for the right message. Vague ones get the file picked for the wrong things, which is worse than leaving it untagged.
Tag images in bulk
Use Check All to select the untagged images, or tick them individually, then Bulk Fix. The confirmation shows how many files will be processed, what it will cost and what your wallet holds, and it will not run if the balance does not cover it.
Each image is described automatically and the tags are saved against it. This is the fastest way to clear a backlog of several hundred images.
Check the banner has cleared
Return to Files & Folders. The banner counts untagged images and PDFs, so it shrinks as you work and disappears when nothing is left untagged. It will come back as you upload new files, which is the point.
Result
Your images and documents can now be found by name or tag in search, and are available to Zyntro's AI when it is choosing what to use. The difference shows up as better-chosen assets in generated content rather than as anything on this screen.
Troubleshooting
The confirmation checks your wallet balance against the cost of the selected images and blocks if it is short. Top up, or select fewer images.
It counts images and PDFs separately, and PDFs are not part of the automatic run. Any remaining count is usually PDFs waiting to be described by hand.
Automatic tagging works from the image itself, so it describes what is visible rather than what the asset is for. Edit the tags to add the purpose — which campaign, which product, which audience.
