Polls

A question, timed to the second.

Polls live in Webinar Polls and are attached to a webinar from its Polls tab. A poll is reusable — build your "what is your biggest challenge" poll once and run it in every session.

Steps

Create the poll in the library

The question and its options. Nothing here is specific to a webinar, so write it so it works in any of them.

Attach it to a webinar

From the webinar's Polls tab. The tab's badge shows how many are attached.

Set when it appears

In seconds into the session. Put it after the point where you actually ask the question out loud, not before.

Decide how long it stays open

A poll can close itself after a set time. Left unset, it uses the poll's own setting.

Choose what attendees see as results

Live Responses shows what this session's attendees actually answered. Simulated shows prepared percentages instead. The difference matters — see below.

Result

The poll appears at your chosen moment and whether each attendee answered is recorded against them, so taking part counts as engagement whatever they chose.

Warning: Simulated results show prepared percentages rather than what this session's attendees answered. It exists because a pre-recorded session watched by one person alone would otherwise show a lone vote, which looks worse than no results at all. Use it knowingly: if you would not be comfortable explaining the number to an attendee, show live responses instead.

Troubleshooting

Its timing is seconds into the session. Check it against the actual recording rather than your script.

Expected on a pre-recorded session with few concurrent viewers — each attendee watches alone. Live responses are still recorded per person; it is the displayed total that looks thin.

A live session happens in Google Meet, not on the Zyntro page. Share the poll's own link or QR code in the meeting — see the article on sharing assets during a live session.
