Sync Zyntro with Your Phone or Computer
The only connection that works in both directions — change something anywhere, and it reaches everywhere.
Your phone already has a calendar app, and it is probably where you actually look. Device sync connects it to Zyntro so the two stay in step.
Unlike the connections to Google and Outlook, which each run one way, this one is two-way. An event you add on your phone appears in Zyntro. A booking that comes into Zyntro appears on your phone. Change the time in either place and the other follows, including for repeating events.
That applies to your own calendar. Your calendar also shows meetings other people organised and invited you to, and those belong to whoever organised them — your device can record your answer to one, but not rewrite or delete it.
It works with the calendar app already on your device — the built-in app on iPhone and iPad, a sync helper on Android, and Thunderbird on a desktop.
Key Concepts
A two-way connection between Zyntro and a calendar app, using the open standard that calendar apps have supported for years. No extra Zyntro app is needed.
A separate password you generate in Zyntro for one device. It is what the calendar app signs in with, so your real password never goes onto the device, and you can revoke one device without disturbing the others.
The address your calendar app connects to. iPhone and Mac want it as a bare name; Android and Thunderbird want the full link. Both are shown on the setup screen, labelled for the device.
The email address you use for Zyntro. The same one on every device.
Capabilities
Changes travel both ways
Create, edit, move or delete anything on your own calendar from either side and the other follows. This is what the one-way connections to Google and Outlook cannot do.
Repeating events stay repeating
A weekly commitment arrives as a repeating event rather than a pile of copies, and a pattern you change on your phone comes back as a pattern.
One password per device
Generate one for your phone and another for your laptop. Lose the phone, revoke that one, and the laptop carries on.
Your own commitments protect your time
Anything you add on your phone blocks that time in Zyntro, so your booking pages and group allocation work from your real week.
Your answer travels too
Accept or decline a meeting on your phone and the answer is recorded in Zyntro, so the organiser sees it however you gave it.
Tip: If you only set up one calendar connection, make it this one. It covers both directions at once, so you do not need a separate inbound connection for availability and a separate subscription for visibility.
Important: Generate the app password first. All three setups ask for it, and you cannot see it again after it is created — so have it on the clipboard before you start on the device.
