Trigger an Outbound Call

A conversation, minutes after someone raises their hand

Zyntro can place a call to someone shortly after they submit a form. The voice agent follows a call flow you have set up, and it goes into the conversation knowing what the person answered.

This is the most powerful thing on the Form Actions screen and the one to be most careful with. A call minutes after someone asked for a demo is impressive. A call minutes after someone downloaded a guide is alarming.

Before You Begin

Steps

Check the form is one where a call is welcome

Calling works when the person's submission implies they want to be contacted: a demo request, a quote request, a callback request, a consultation booking.

It does not work on content downloads, newsletter signups or feedback surveys. If the form does not ask for contact, do not initiate it by phone.

Enable the call action

In Manage Form Actions, switch on Trigger an Outbound Call.

Select a call flow

Choose from Select a call flow. The flow determines what the agent is trying to achieve — qualifying, booking, answering questions.

Nothing is queued if you leave this empty. The toggle alone does nothing.

Test the call flow by itself before wiring it to a form. Debugging a flow and a trigger at the same time is unnecessarily hard.

Set the delay

Trigger after a delay of is in seconds, defaulting to 600 — ten minutes.

Ten minutes is a sensible default: fast enough that the submission is still on the person's mind, slow enough not to feel like surveillance. Calling within seconds of a submission unsettles people, however good the intent.

Write the context for the agent

Context for the AI agent tells the agent why it is calling. Be specific: Call to follow up on a demo request submitted via the website. Confirm their timeline and book a slot if they are ready.

The agent also receives the form's answers, so it can reference what the person actually said without you repeating it in the context.

Save and place a test call to yourself

Save the screen, then submit the form with your own number and take the call.

Listen to the whole thing. Check the agent opens by explaining who is calling and why, that it references the submission correctly, and that it handles you saying now is not a good time.

Important: Automated calling is regulated, and the rules differ by country. Consent, permitted calling hours, disclosure that the caller is automated, and do-not-call obligations all vary. Check what applies where your contacts are before enabling this.

Tip: Use conditional logic to qualify before you call. If the form only shows the phone field — or only offers a callback — to people who meet a threshold, you spend calls on conversations worth having.

Common questions

The call flow you chose, the context you wrote, the contact's record, and the answers from this submission. It can reference what they told you rather than asking again.

That is handled by your call flow and your voice settings, not by the form. The form's job ends once the call is queued.

Yes. Each action is independent. Sequence them with the delays — a short delay on the email so something arrives immediately, a longer one on the call so the person has had a moment to read it.

The call becomes eligible at that point and is placed shortly after. Treat the delay as the earliest time, not an exact appointment.

Result

Qualifying submissions now produce a call. The call and its outcome appear on the contact's record with the rest of their history.
