- What Happens When Someone Submits a Form — Understand the order first
The Form Actions Screen
Every control, its default, and what it does
Manage Form Actions is where you decide what happens after someone submits. Reach it from Sales → CRM → Forms, open the form's row menu and choose Manage Form Actions. On a form you are building for the first time, it is the screen after styling.
The screen has two halves. This article covers the Form Actions panel — everything that happens as a result of the submission. The Lead Routing & Notifications panel beside it decides who owns the lead and who hears about it, and is covered in its own sections.
Important: Saving this screen publishes the form and makes your actions live immediately. There is no separate publish step and no staging. If you are changing the actions on a form that is already collecting submissions, the next person to submit gets the new behaviour.
Info: Every delay on this screen is measured in seconds, and each field is labelled accordingly. One minute is 60, five minutes is 300, an hour is 3600. The keep-warm interval is the one exception — that is measured in days.
What happens when the form is submitted
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Do this when the form is submitted | Choose between showing a thank-you message and redirecting to a URL. | Show a Thank You Message |
| Thank you Headline | The heading on the thank-you screen. | A standard headline if left blank |
| Thank you Message | The body text beneath the headline. | A standard message if left blank |
| Specify the redirection URL | Where to send the person instead of showing a message. Shown only when Redirect is selected. | Empty |
| Also pass the following as URL Parameters | Values appended to the redirect URL as query parameters, so the receiving page knows something about the submission. | None |
Webhook
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enable a Webhook Post | Sends the submission to a URL you choose as a POST request, so another system can react to it. | Off |
| Webhook URL | The address that receives the POST. The response and any error are stored against the completion, so you can check what happened. | Empty |
Follow-up email
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Send an email or fire a sequence | Turns the email action on. | Off |
| Select a template or sequence | Choose a saved email template, an email sequence, or an AI-generated email written for this submission. | Nothing selected |
| Context (AI-generated only) | A short instruction shaping what the AI-generated email should say. Shown only when the AI option is selected. | A generic follow-up instruction |
| Send after a delay of | How long to wait before the email becomes eligible to send, in seconds. | 300 seconds |
Follow-up SMS
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Send an SMS | Turns the SMS action on. The contact needs a phone number for anything to send. | Off |
| Select an SMS template | Choose a saved SMS template or an AI-generated message written for this submission. | Nothing selected |
| Context (AI-generated only) | A short instruction shaping the AI-generated message. | Empty |
| Send after a delay of | How long to wait before the message becomes eligible to send, in seconds. | 30 seconds |
Outbound call
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Trigger an Outbound Call | Queues an AI voice call to the contact after they submit. | Off |
| Select a call flow | Which call flow the agent should follow. Nothing is queued if this is left empty. | Nothing selected |
| Trigger after a delay of | How long to wait before the call is queued, in seconds. | 600 seconds |
| Context for the AI agent | A short instruction telling the agent why it is calling. The form's answers are passed to the agent as well. | Empty |
Enrichment and keep-warm
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enrich Contact Data | Researches the contact to fill in detail they did not provide. A charge is applied to your wallet for each enrichment. | Off |
| Keep Contact Warm | Schedules periodic contact ahead of a booked meeting. Requires the submission to have produced a booking. | Off |
| Auto-Engage Interval | How many days to leave between each keep-warm contact. | 3 days |
| Begin after | How long after the submission the keep-warm schedule starts, in seconds. | 900 seconds |
Warning: Keep Contact Warm only does something when the submission produced a booking. If the form has no calendar attached, or the person did not book a time, nothing is scheduled — the toggle stays on and silently has no effect. The contact must also have auto-engage enabled.
