Show a Thank-You Message or Redirect

What happens on screen the moment someone submits

Every form needs an ending. Zyntro gives you two: show a message on the form itself, or send the person to a page of your choosing.

This is the only part of the submission the person actually experiences, so it is worth more than thirty seconds of thought. Everything else — the email, the notification, the enrichment — happens behind them.

Before You Begin

Steps

Open Manage Form Actions

Go to Sales → CRM → Forms, open the form's row menu and choose Manage Form Actions.

On a form you are building for the first time, saving your styles brings you here.

Choose between a message and a redirect

Use Do this when the form is submitted.

Show a Thank You Message keeps the person on the form and replaces it with your message. Simplest, and right for most forms.

Redirect to a URL sends them somewhere else — a thank-you page, a scheduling page, a download, the next step in a process.

The relevant fields appear beneath your choice.

Write your thank-you message

If you chose the message, fill in Thank you Headline and Thank you Message.

Say three things: that it worked, what happens next, and when. Thanks — we've got your details. Someone from the team will be in touch within one working day. That last part matters more than the thanks; it is what stops people submitting the form again.

Leaving these blank gives you a standard message. It is polite and tells the person nothing useful, so write your own.

If you set up a follow-up email, say so here. "Check your inbox for confirmation" stops people wondering.

Or set your redirect

If you chose to redirect, put the full address in Specify the redirection URL, including https://.

The page you send people to should confirm their submission worked. A redirect to a generic home page loses the thread — the person is left unsure whether anything happened.

Pass details to the redirect page if you need them

Also pass the following as URL Parameters appends values from the submission to your redirect address as query parameters.

This lets the receiving page know something about who just arrived — to personalise a greeting, or to pass a value into your own analytics.

Do not pass anything sensitive this way. URL parameters appear in the address bar, in browser history, and in the logs of whatever serves that page.

Save

Save the screen. Your choice applies to the next submission.

Remember that saving this screen also publishes the form.

Important: Saving this screen publishes the form and makes your actions live immediately. There is no separate publish step and no staging. If you are changing the actions on a form that is already collecting submissions, the next person to submit gets the new behaviour.

Choosing between them

Situation Better choice Why
A short enquiry form embedded in a web page Thank-you message Keeps the person on the page they were reading. A redirect throws away their context.
A form that leads to a download or a resource Redirect The redirect is the delivery. Send them straight to the thing they asked for.
A form that is one step in a longer process Redirect Carry the momentum into the next step rather than stopping to congratulate them.
A form where you want to track completions in your own analytics Redirect A dedicated page you control gives you a reliable point to record the completion.
A booking form where the person chose a time Thank-you message They already have what they came for, and a calendar invitation is on its way. Confirm it and let them go.

Result

Submissions now end the way you intended. If you chose a message, submit the form yourself once and read it as a stranger would — that is the fastest way to notice it says thanks without saying what happens next.
