Setting Your Qualification Threshold

Each stream has its own Qualification Threshold — the score out of 100 a lead must reach to be pushed to your CRM and sent a first-touch email. Anything below it is quarantined.

The slider runs from 20 (lenient) to 90 (strict) in steps of 5, and defaults to 60.

Steps

Open the stream's Lead Qualification section

In New Stream, or in Edit on an existing stream, scroll to Lead Qualification. The information icon beside the heading opens a short explanation of the scoring pass.

Select your target audiences

Choose the audience segments this stream is aimed at. These feed the Audience Segment Match criterion, worth 12 points. Only approved segments from your brand appear here.

If no segments are listed, none have been approved on your brand yet — the stream will still run, but a 12-point criterion has nothing to judge against.

Attach the relevant offerings

Optionally select which of your offerings this stream is selling. These feed Ware Relevance, also worth 12 points. Leave it empty and all of your offerings are considered.

Set the threshold

Drag the slider. The number updates as you move it, with Lenient (20) and Strict (90) marking the ends. A reasonable starting point is 60 for a broad stream and 75 to 80 for a narrow one.

Save the stream

Use Create & Activate to start acquiring immediately, or Save as Draft to keep the configuration without spending anything yet. On an existing stream, Save applies the new threshold to future qualification passes.

Result

Leads acquired from now on are measured against the new threshold. Leads already qualified or quarantined keep the outcome they were given — changing the threshold does not re-score anything retrospectively.

Choosing a starting threshold

Threshold Suits What to expect
20–45 Broad streams and feeders where you want almost everything through Very little quarantined. Weak-fit leads will be contacted, so your first-touch quality depends entirely on the objective being right
50–65 A general stream, or a new stream whose objective you are still tuning A manageable quarantine. Good for learning what the scoring does before you commit to a stricter line
70–80 A narrow campaign with a specific role and a specific problem A substantial quarantine that is worth reviewing. This is where a feeder stream starts to earn its place
85–90 High-value outreach where a wrong email is costly Only strong matches are contacted. Expect to review a lot, and to move more leads than you push

Important: A full quarantine is not automatically a sign the threshold is too high. Read a few of the held leads first. If they are being marked down on Role-Objective Alignment or Industry Fit, your search criteria are pulling in the wrong people and lowering the threshold would simply mean emailing them. If they are losing points only on Timing or Competitive Displacement, the fit is real and the line may genuinely be too strict.

Warning: Lowering the threshold does not recover leads already in quarantine. They keep the outcome they were given. To act on them, push them through, move them to another stream, or discard them.
