Choose Your Icons

One icon family for the whole site, matched to the weight of your type.

Step 4 is your icon family. Icons appear throughout a site — beside navigation items, inside buttons, against feature lists — and they are noticed most when they do not match.

You choose one family and the whole site uses it.

Steps

Pick a family

Six families are offered: Bootstrap Icons, Phosphor Icons, Remix Icon, Boxicons, Iconoir and Tabler Icons. Each shows a sample of common icons — home, search, person, settings, mail, phone — so you can compare them doing the same job.

The practical differences are weight and corner treatment. Lighter, rounder sets suit a softer design; heavier, squarer sets hold up better against bold type.

Pick a weight, where the family offers one

Some families come in several weights — thin, light, regular, bold and filled. If yours does, choose the one that sits with your type.

A good rule: match the icon weight to your body text weight, not your headings. Icons usually appear next to body-sized text.

This step is optional in the sense that it always has an answer — leave it alone and the site uses the default family. It is editable later in Site Settings > Iconography.

Result

One icon family is recorded for the site and used everywhere icons appear.
