Adding a Video

From the library, choose Add Videos. One form covers both kinds of video, and the Video Type you choose changes what the rest of the form asks for.

Playable videos are added by giving Zyntro a link to the file. Nothing is uploaded through your browser, so a long video on a slow connection is not a problem — Zyntro fetches it directly.

Before You Begin

Steps

Give it a title

The title is what you will search for later, what appears above the player on the public page, and what is suggested when you publish to YouTube. Write it as a person would describe the video, not as a filename.

A title like Handling the "it's too expensive" objection will still make sense in six months. webinar_final_v3 will not.

Choose the video type

Playable Video for anything meant to be watched. Raw Video for background footage and material.

This cannot be changed later, so it is worth a moment's thought. If you are unsure, choose playable — the extra things it gets are harmless if unused, whereas a raw video can never become playable without being added again.

Choosing Playable reveals the file source question. Choosing Raw reveals a browser uploader instead.

Set the video language

Pick the language actually spoken in the video. This is what the subtitles are generated in, and getting it wrong produces nonsense subtitles and, in turn, a nonsense summary.

English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, German and French are available.

For a playable video, say where the file is

Two options:

  • Google Drive — paste the file's share link. The file has to be shared widely enough for Zyntro to read it; a link that only works for people inside your organisation will not work here.
  • Other — paste a direct address to the file, ending in .mp4.

A preview appears once the link is recognised, so you can confirm you have pointed at the right file before submitting.

If the button still reads Verify File, the link has not been checked yet. Wait for the preview rather than submitting.

Assign categories, if you have any

Any categories you have created for this brand appear as toggles. Switch on the ones that apply — a video can carry several.

If you have not created any yet the form says so and links you to Video Settings. You can also assign categories later from the video's own settings page, so this is not a reason to delay.

For a raw video, upload the file

Choosing Raw Video replaces the file-source question with an upload area. Drop the file in or click to choose it. MP4 and WebM are accepted.

Raw videos are uploaded through the browser rather than fetched, so a very large file will take as long as your connection needs.

Submit, then let it finish

After you submit a playable video it appears in the library marked Pending. It is being prepared for streaming, which takes a few minutes for a short video and longer for a long one.

When it flips to Ready it will play. Subtitles follow shortly after, and once they exist Zyntro reads the transcript and writes the summary, description and tags on its own — you do not need to ask for it.

Result

The video is in your library. A playable video shows Ready once it can play, and a star icon once Zyntro has understood it — a warning triangle until then.

There is nothing more you have to do. The things worth doing next are checking that the subtitles spelled your brand name correctly, reading the summary Zyntro wrote, and setting the thumbnail frame so the video looks right when someone sees it before pressing play.

Warning: A Google Drive link that works for you may not work for Zyntro. Drive defaults to restricting a file to named people, and Zyntro is not one of them. Set the file's sharing so that anyone with the link can view it, then paste the link.

Tip: The upload area for raw videos accepts one file at a time. For a batch of background clips, add them one after another rather than selecting several at once.
