Playable Videos and Raw Videos

What It Is

Every video you add to Zyntro goes onto one of two shelves, and you choose which on the upload form.

A playable video is one someone will watch. It is prepared for streaming, given subtitles, and transcribed so Zyntro can write a summary, a description and tags for it. It gets its own public page, its own appearance settings, and its own viewing figures.

A raw video is a plain video file you want to use as material. It sits alongside your other files and gives you a URL. Nothing is transcribed, nothing is written about it, and there are no viewing figures — because nobody is sitting down to watch it on its own.

Why It Matters

The two shelves cost different amounts of work to maintain, and they answer different needs.

A playable video earns its keep by being findable. Because Zyntro has read the transcript, a playable video about pricing objections can be surfaced when a contact raises a pricing objection — by Segmentation Intelligence composing an email, by an agent answering a question, or by you searching the library for the word "pricing".

A raw video earns its keep by being visually right. A ten-second loop of an office, a drone shot of a property, a close-up of a product turning: these are there to sit behind text and set a mood. Transcribing them would produce nothing useful, and giving them a public page and a completion rate would be meaningless.

Picking the wrong shelf is the most common mistake here. A customer story uploaded as a raw video is invisible to everything that could have used it.

How It Works

Playable videos are prepared for streaming. You give Zyntro a link to the file rather than uploading it through the browser, which is why a large video can be added without a long upload. The video shows as Pending while this happens and flips to Ready when it can play. Subtitles are generated shortly after, and as soon as they exist Zyntro reads the transcript and writes the summary, description and tags without being asked.

Raw videos are uploaded directly in the browser and stored with your other files. They appear under View Raw Videos, with their file size, a preview, and a playback URL you can copy and paste wherever you need it.

Examples

Scenario
A fifteen-minute recorded webinar

Playable. You want it watched, you want subtitles, and you want Zyntro to know it covers the three topics it covers so it can be offered to the right people later.

Scenario
A looping shot of your workshop for the top of your homepage

Raw. It sits behind a headline, it has no sound, and nobody will ever press play on it deliberately.

Scenario
A two-minute customer story

Playable, and one of the clearest cases for it. Zyntro reading what the customer said is what lets this video be put in front of a prospect in the same industry.

Scenario
Forty seconds of drone footage over a listing

Raw if it is going behind the property details on a page. Playable if it is the tour itself and buyers are meant to watch it through.

Scenario
A screen recording walking through a feature

Playable. The narration is the valuable part, and the transcript is what makes the video findable by the feature's name.

Warning: A raw video is a file with a public URL, not a private one. Anyone given the URL can play it, and raw videos are not covered by the private setting that applies to playable videos. Treat anything confidential accordingly.

Info: Raw videos are listed separately, under View Raw Videos from the library. The search and category filter on the main library screen cover playable videos only.
