What the Video Library Does
Find it at Marketing > Videos > Video Library.
Most platforms treat a video as a file you store and link to. Zyntro treats it as something it has watched. When you add a playable video, Zyntro transcribes it, reads the transcript, and writes a summary, a description and a set of tags from what is actually said in it.
That is the part that matters. A video Zyntro understands can be found by a search for a topic, placed on a website page, quoted in a proposal, or sent to a contact who asked about that exact subject — without you remembering which video covered it.
Key Concepts
A video meant to be watched. It gets a player, subtitles, a public page, analytics, and everything Zyntro learns from the transcript. This is what most people mean by a video.
A video file meant to be used as a background — behind a section of a website page, or as footage inside another video. No player, no subtitles, no analytics. You choose which of the two you are adding at upload time.
A new playable video is Pending while it is being prepared for streaming, then flips to Ready. Until it is Ready it will not play on its public page and nothing else can use it.
The summary, description and tags Zyntro writes from the transcript. The library shows a star icon on videos that have it and a warning triangle on videos still waiting.
A label you create to group videos — Onboarding, Product Tours, Customer Stories. A video can carry several, and the library list filters by them.
Capabilities
One list, searchable
Every playable video on one screen, newest first, loading more as you scroll. Search by title, filter by category, and see at a glance which are ready, which are private and which have been understood.
Subtitles you can correct
Subtitles are generated automatically. Because brand names and product names are what transcription gets wrong most often, you can give Zyntro a list of words to spell correctly, and fix any that slip through — on one video or across all of them at once.
A public page per video
Every playable video has a page you can send to anyone, with your brand name, the video, its description, and a proper share card for when the link is pasted into a message or a social post.
Appearance you control
Set the player's three colours, choose the exact frame used as the thumbnail, and copy an embed code to drop the video into any page outside Zyntro.
Viewing figures
Views, unique viewers, total watch time, average view length and completion rate, per video and across the library, with a breakdown by country, browser and device.
Publishing to YouTube
Push a video to a connected YouTube channel with its title, description and tags already filled in from what Zyntro wrote, and its subtitles uploaded alongside.
How It All Fits Together
A video is not a dead end in Zyntro. Once it is Ready and has been understood, it becomes available to the parts of the platform that need something to show someone:
- Segmentation Intelligence can include a video when it decides what to send a contact, choosing the one whose subject matches what that contact cares about.
- Your website can place a playable video in a page, or use a raw video as the moving background behind a section.
- Content tools can reference a specific video by name when building a proposal, an artefact or an email.
- Phona and other conversations can point someone at a video page when a question is better answered by watching than by reading.
All of that depends on the summary and tags being right, which is why the writing Zyntro does from the transcript matters more than it first appears.
Which kind of video you are adding
| What you want | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Someone presses play and watches it | Playable video | Gets a player, subtitles, a public page and analytics |
| Moving footage behind a page section | Raw video | Used as a background asset; no controls and no sound expected |
| Footage to cut into another video | Raw video | Kept as a plain file you can reference by its URL |
| You want Zyntro to be able to use it | Playable video | Only playable videos are transcribed and understood |
Important: The choice between playable and raw is made when you add the video and cannot be switched afterwards. If you add a video as raw and later want it watched, add it again as a playable video.
Tip: Before you add your first video, open Video Settings and add your brand name and product names to the transcription vocabulary. Transcription misspells unusual names far more often than ordinary words, and the vocabulary only applies to videos added after you save it — so doing it first saves correcting every video later.
