Adding a New Contact

Create contacts manually with full field control

While most contacts enter Zyntro through forms, imports, or the API, you can also add contacts manually — one at a time with full control over every field.

Access the form from Sales > CRM > Contacts > Add New Contact.

Steps

Select an entity (B2B/Mixed mode only)

In B2B or Mixed CRM mode, the form starts with an entity search field. Type to search existing entities — matching results appear in a dropdown. Select one to link the contact to that company.

If the entity does not exist, you can create a new one directly from the search field. In B2B mode, entity selection is required. In Mixed mode, it is optional.

In B2C mode, the entity section does not appear at all.

Fill in contact details

Enter the contact’s information:
- First Name and Last Name (first name is required)
- Email (with verification indicator)
- Phone (with country code selector)
- Role, Type, Language, Source, Status
- Timezone — critical for SI timing
- Custom Fields — all active custom fields for your brand appear dynamically

Set owner and pipeline stage

Select the Owner (team member responsible for this contact) and the Pipeline Stage (where they enter your customer journey). The stage determines which SI cadence and QC autonomy settings apply.

Configure visibility and flags

Toggle the additional options:
- Test Contact — marks the contact for testing (excluded from SI and reporting)
- Others can see / Others can edit — visibility controls for team members
- DNC — Do Not Call flag
- Email/SMS Opt-out — channel restrictions

Assign to lists

Optionally select one or more lists to add the contact to. Lists are used for broadcasts, campaigns, and segmented views.

Save

Click Save Contact to create the record, or Save & Continue to create and immediately open a fresh form for the next contact. Useful for adding multiple contacts from business cards or meeting notes.

Result

The contact is created and assigned to the specified pipeline stage. If auto-engage is enabled (via the contact detail sidebar after creation), SI begins processing the contact on its next scan.
