Moving a Lead to a Different Stream

When a lead is clearly worth talking to but wrong for the stream that found it, move it. The lead is re-pointed at the stream you choose and re-scored there from scratch, against that stream's objective, audiences, offerings and threshold.

This is the action feeder streams exist to receive.

Steps

Open the lead, or select several

Click a row in the Quarantined tab to open the review drawer, or tick the checkboxes of several leads to use the bulk bar at the bottom of the screen.

Choose Move

In the drawer footer, click Move to a different Stream. If this is your only stream the button instead reads Move to a new Stream, and opens a prompt explaining that there is nowhere to move the lead yet.

A stream producing plenty of leads where many are quarantined is a strong signal the audience is slightly off and deserves its own stream tuned to fit. That is the case the prompt is encouraging you to act on.

Pick the destination stream

Choose from the streams in this brand. Feeder streams are identified as such, so you can tell a catch-all apart from another narrow campaign. The cost of the move is shown as you select.

Note the rationale

Record why you are moving the lead. This is kept with the lead's history and is what makes the trail readable later, when the current score no longer explains how the lead got where it is.

Confirm the move

Confirm, and the lead is re-pointed and queued for re-qualification. Its score, reasoning and breakdown from the old stream are cleared, and the new pass runs against the destination stream within a few minutes.

Result

The lead now belongs to the destination stream, with its status back to discovered while re-qualification runs. When the new pass completes it is either pushed — becoming a CRM contact with a first-touch email — or quarantined again, this time against the new stream's standard.

The move itself is recorded. The lead's Where This Lead Has Been section now lists the stream it left, the score it had there, and the reasoning at the time.

What a move changes and what it keeps

On the lead What happens
Stream Re-pointed to the destination stream
Status Reset to discovered, pending the new qualification pass
Score, reasoning and breakdown Cleared — the new pass writes fresh ones
Person and company enrichment Kept. Nothing is revealed or enriched again, so none of that is re-charged
Email address and verification status Kept
History A new entry is added recording the move, the prior score and the prior reasoning
Lead price Unchanged. The lead keeps the tier price of the stream that acquired it, not the destination's
Cost One qualification fee for the new scoring pass

Info: A move costs exactly one qualification fee per lead, because the expensive part — revealing and enriching the contact — has already been paid for and is carried over. The confirmation prices your selection before you commit, so a bulk move of thirty leads tells you the total up front.

Warning: Re-qualification is a genuine re-scoring, not a transfer of the old verdict. A lead can score lower in the destination stream than it did in the one it left. If the destination is a feeder and the lead is quarantined there too, it has been turned down by a targeted stream and by the catch-all — which is the signal to discard rather than keep routing it around.

Tip: Leads already pushed to your CRM cannot be moved. A move is only available on a lead still held in quarantine.
