Keep Your Google Connection Current

One click, before it matters rather than after.

Before You Begin

A Google connection does not last forever. It needs renewing periodically, and renewing it means signing in with the same Google account again — a few seconds of work.

The problem is not the renewal. The problem is that a lapsed connection fails silently: Zyntro can no longer create Google Meet links, so meetings fall back to Zyntro's own room, the Observer has nothing to join, and the calls go ahead and produce nothing. Nobody notices until somebody goes looking for a debrief.

So Zyntro tells you in advance, in two places at once.

Steps

Watch for the email

Within a day of your connection needing renewal, Zyntro emails you with the subject Action needed: reconnect your Google account to keep Google Meet working.

It names the account in question — useful if you have more than one connected — and carries a Reconnect button that takes you straight to the right screen.

It goes to the email address on your member record, and you get one per renewal cycle rather than a daily nag.

The same warning appears as an urgent notification inside Zyntro, so missing the email does not mean missing the warning.

Reconnect with the same Google account

Follow the button, or go to Settings → Integrations → Google Meet and choose Reconnect.

Sign in with the same Google account as before. Connecting a different account is not a renewal — it is a new connection, and your existing meetings were created on the old one.

It takes a few seconds and there is nothing to configure.

Confirm it worked

The screen should show Connected with a fresh date, and a line confirming the connection is active and valid.

Check Connection re-tests it on demand if you want certainty.

Check it without being asked, before anything that matters

The reconnect warning is reliable, but it is worth not depending on it alone.

Settings → Sales Settings → Meeting Settings lists every Google Meet connection in your organisation and flags the ones that need renewing. One screen, everybody's connections, so a colleague's lapsed connection does not quietly become your problem.

Give it a glance before a week of important meetings. It costs a few seconds and it is the only check that covers the whole team.

Result

Your connection is current, Zyntro can create Google Meet links again, and the Observer can attend your meetings.

Meetings created while the connection was lapsed are not retrospectively fixed. They were created on Zyntro's own room rather than a Google Meet link, so there is nothing for an Observer to join even now. If any of them are still in the future and you want them recorded, recreate them.

Warning: Meetings booked during a lapse stay unrecordable. A booking that came in while the connection was down was created without a Google Meet link, and resetting the Observer on it will tell you there is no meeting URL to join.

After reconnecting, it is worth looking at your upcoming meetings: anything booked during the lapse needs recreating if you want it recorded, or needs recording another way.

Tip: If renewal reminders keep arriving for a colleague who has left, disconnect their integration. An abandoned connection is worse than none: Zyntro may still try to use it for meetings on behalf of other members, which is how an entire team ends up unrecorded because of one departed employee's account.
