Process a Recording Again

The recording is saved. Only the processing failed.

Before You Begin

Uploading and transcribing are two different things, and only the first one involves your phone. Once a recording has uploaded it is kept in Zyntro — so if the transcript never arrives, the recording is not the problem and you do not need to have kept anything.

That is what Process it again does. It takes the recording Zyntro already holds and submits it for transcription afresh.

This matters because the alternative — going back to the person and asking for another meeting — is not a real alternative.

Steps

Open the meeting in the app

Find the meeting in the Zyntro mobile app and open it. A meeting still waiting on its transcript shows a processing state.

Look for the offer

Below the processing state you will see: Taking longer than expected? The recording is saved, so you can run it again without re-recording anything, with a Process it again button.

It appears when processing has failed, or when the meeting has been waiting more than about ten minutes. Before that the normal case still reads as working, because most recordings finish in a couple of minutes and a retry button offered immediately would invite people to retry something that was fine.

If the button is not there at all, Zyntro has no stored recording for this meeting — which means the upload never completed. There is nothing to re-process, and the recording is only recoverable if you kept your own copy.

Submit it

Tap Process it again. The app confirms with Submitted. The transcript should arrive in a few minutes.

The button then disappears so you do not submit the same recording repeatedly while waiting.

Check the result

Give it a few minutes and reopen the meeting. The transcript and the intelligence should be there.

If it fails again, the recording itself is the likely problem — an inaudible or near-silent recording cannot be transcribed however many times it is tried. Play it back and listen before retrying a third time.

Result

The recording has been re-submitted and the meeting proceeds normally from there: transcript, intelligence, debrief, contact update and follow-up, exactly as if it had worked the first time.

Re-processing is charged at the same rate as the original audio processing, because the transcription work is being done again.

Info: Re-processing is for a recording Zyntro already holds. If you want to supply something different — a better recording, or a transcript from another source — use Recover Meeting Intelligence on the meeting's own screen instead. That route takes new material; this one re-runs what is already there.

Warning: A meeting with no stored recording cannot be rescued from the app. If the upload never finished, there is nothing on Zyntro's side to retry, and the re-process button will not appear.

The only route back is a copy of your own. This is why the upload step is worth waiting for rather than walking away from.
