Managing Contact Data Quality

Find issues, filter precisely, and fix in bulk

What It Is

The Manage Contacts view is a data quality workbench. It shows you what is missing, lets you filter precisely, and gives you tools to fix problems in bulk.

Access it from Sales > CRM > Contacts > Manage Contacts.

The page has three sections: Data Quality Cards at the top, an Advanced Filter Builder in the middle, and a Contacts Table with Bulk Actions at the bottom.

Why It Matters

SI’s effectiveness is directly limited by data quality. A contact without a timezone gets messages at random times. A contact with an unverified email wastes send reputation on bounces. A contact without a source cannot be accurately attributed for ROI.

The data quality cards show you exactly how many contacts have these issues, so you can fix them systematically rather than discovering them one at a time.

How It Works

Data Quality Cards

Four cards at the top show counts of contacts with specific issues:
- Missing Country Code — needed for phone formatting and regional compliance
- Missing Source — needed for attribution reporting
- Missing Timezone — critical for SI timing decisions
- Unverified Emails — risk of bounces and damaged send reputation

Click any card to filter the contacts table to just those with that issue.

Advanced Filter Builder

A condition-based filter with Match ALL or Match ANY logic. Add filter rows with field, operator, and value selectors. Available fields include: Status, Country Code, Timezone, Source, Role, Auto Engage, DNC, Email/SMS Opt-out. Apply filters to narrow the contacts table, or clear all to reset.

Bulk Actions

When contacts are selected (individually or via Select All), a bulk actions bar appears:
- Set Field — Apply a value to a field across all selected contacts (status, country, timezone, source, role, auto engage, DNC, opt-out flags)
- Assign Owner — Bulk reassign contacts to a team member
- Assign Stage — Set pipeline stage for all selected contacts
- Export Selected — Download just the selected contacts
- Delete — Permanently remove selected contacts (admin only, with confirmation)

Examples

Scenario
You discover 47 contacts missing timezones after an import

Click the Missing Timezone card to filter. Select All matching contacts. Use Set Field to assign timezones in batches — filter by country first (if available) to set appropriate timezones per region. Contacts with timezones set become eligible for SI’s business hours scheduling.

Scenario
You need to enable auto-engage for all contacts in the Prospect status

Use the filter builder: Status = Prospect. Select All. Use Set Field > Auto Engage = On. All matching contacts are enrolled in SI on the next scan.

Tip: Run a data quality review after every import. The four cards give you an instant read on what needs attention. Prioritize timezone (SI timing) and email verification (channel reliability) as these have the most direct impact on engagement effectiveness.
