Meeting Sources and What They Cost

Formats, limits and prices.

A meeting recorded by the Observer carries no separate charge for the recording — it is part of the meeting. Everything you supply yourself is charged per meeting, because the audio has to be transcribed.

The prices are shown on the screen beside each option, so you always see them before committing.

The sources

Source What it accepts Cost
The Observer A video call on a Google Meet link, recorded automatically. No separate charge
Audio Recording An MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, OGG or WebM file, up to 60 MB. Also how a phone recording from the mobile app arrives. $0.85
Video Recording A shareable Google Drive link, or a direct download link to a video file. $1.35
Text Transcript Pasted text in any format. Zyntro tidies it before processing. $0.50
Re-processing A recording already uploaded to Zyntro, submitted for transcription again. $0.85

Tip: Prefer a transcript when you have one. It is the cheapest route and the most accurate, because nothing has to be interpreted from audio. If your video platform produced a transcript, use that rather than uploading the recording.

Accepted audio formats

MP3 — The safest general choice. Most voice recorders produce it.
AAC — Common on Apple devices.
M4A — What an iPhone voice memo produces.
WAV — Uncompressed, so files are large — watch the 60 MB limit on a long meeting.
OGG — Accepted.
WebM — Accepted. This is what a browser recording usually produces.

Limits

Limit Value Notes
Audio upload size 60 MB per upload Well over an hour of speech in a compressed format. An over-size upload is refused with the size named, and nothing is uploaded — your recording is untouched.
Minimum length to process About a minute Shorter conversations are kept as a transcript but produce no intelligence. The same applies to a transcript with only a handful of exchanges in it.
Speaker separation Based on the attendee count Zyntro separates at least two voices, and more when more attendees are recorded. Adding the attendees before processing improves the transcript.
Video source Must be reachable A Google Drive link has to be shared so that anyone with the link can view it. A private link cannot be downloaded and the processing fails.

Which route to use

Situation Route
A video call on a Google Meet link The Observer. Nothing to do.
A meeting you are physically at Record it in the mobile app.
A phone call Capture it another way, then process it as a retrospective — see Meeting Intelligence for a Phone Call.
Someone else's video platform Use their transcript if they have one — cheapest and most accurate. Otherwise their recording.
A meeting the Observer missed Recover Meeting Intelligence on the meeting's own screen.
A transcript that never arrived after an upload Process it again — the recording is already stored.
A conversation Zyntro has no record of Retrospective, which builds the meeting first.

Info: The charge is made when the work is submitted, not when it succeeds. A recording that cannot be transcribed because it is inaudible has still had the transcription attempted. Listening to a recording before uploading it is worth the thirty seconds, particularly if the phone was in a bag.
